The Mike Rowe Works foundation was started by Mike Rowe, the star of Dirty Jobs, to help bridge the gap in the skilled workforce. In 2008, the mikeroweWORKS foundation began a campaign for skilled labor workers. By creating the S.W.E.A.T pledge, Mike Rowe found a way to show the qualities he values most. 

The S.W.E.A.T pledge is twelve (12) statements outlining the four (4)  pillars of success, work ethic, personal responsibility, delayed gratification, and a positive attitude. Each of the statements in the pledge reflect Mr. Rowe's personal work experience ranging from entrepreneurs and hardworking skilled laborers. 

The mikeroweWORKS certification is administered through NC3 ( National Coalition of Certification Centers). Those who complete this program successfully will receive an NC3 industry-recognized certificate.
